Terms of service

Catering Booking

$1,800 minimum required for all bookings.

• Events must be booked at least 14 days in advance. Events booked with fewer than seven (7) days’ notice may be accepted at the discretion of By Tori Larrae LLC and will incur a $250 expedited booking fee.

• A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your date and must be paid within 48 hours of estimate or invoice issuance.

Final guest count, menu selections, and remaining balance are due 10 days prior to the event. No changes will be accepted after this deadline.

Holiday bookings (November–January) require full payment at time of booking.

Food Tasting: $250 for two guests. The tasting fee is non-refundable, but may be applied toward your final event balance upon booking.

 

Delivery & Service Fees

Drop-Off Delivery: $50 (within 30 miles) | $90 (31–50 miles) | $1.75 per mile

over 50 miles

Service Fee: 12% on all drop-off orders

Gratuity: 20% applied to events requiring on-site staff

Travel Events: Events located outside of Connecticut will incur additional travel fees including staff travel time, tolls, parking, and logistics. Any permits required for out-of-state events are the client’s responsibility, unless otherwise stated in writing.

Event Timing: The client must ensure the venue is accessible and ready at the scheduled service time. Delays caused by the client or venue may result in additional labor or overtime charges to be paid within two days post-event.

Equipment Responsibility: Clients are responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to catering equipment rented or provided for the event. Replacement fees may apply.

Food Safety: Once food is delivered or service is completed, By Tori Larrae Catering is not responsible for food quality or safety if food is left out, improperly stored, or reheated by the client or venue.

Staff Safety: Clients must provide a safe working environment. By Tori Larrae Catering reserves the right to cease services immediately if conditions are unsafe. No refunds will be issued.

Food Allergy Notice: Food may contain or come into contact with common allergens including dairy, eggs, wheat, soy, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, and shellfish. Clients must disclose in writing any allergies prior to booking.

Insurance & Permits: COI requests require 15 business days’ notice. Event insurance or venue permits is the responsibility of the client.

Cancellations: All payments are non-refundable. Cancellations made 15 days prior to the event will receive store credit for future catering or personal chef services, excluding any cost of perishable items. No credits are issued for cancellations within 14 days of event.

Payments: Payments are accepted via online invoice. We accept American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and cash. Personal checks are not accepted.

Acceptance: Booking services &/or submitting payment constitutes acceptance of these terms & conditions.
